Before you use a shortcut

  • Letter shortcuts use lowercase keys without Shift. They pause while you type, compose with an input method, or use a menu or picker that owns letter keys.
  • ⌘B / Ctrl+B also pauses inside editable text so formatting stays available. An open dialog owns its keys before the page behind it.
  • c and a need an open Session. n and v return to the Session page and retain Cloud’s machine chooser when one is needed.
  • ⌘K / Ctrl+K focuses the local Session list; the all-machines list focuses its search field.
  • Voice command follows the existing microphone permission flow. The new action shortcuts open the existing controls; they do not send a message or close a Session. Holding a new shortcut does not repeat it.
  • A terminal keeps its own program keys. Press F6 to return focus to the page before using console shortcuts.

Skills and commands in the message box

Type / as the whole message, or $ for Codex, to open the skills and commands menu. Use the arrow keys to move, Tab or Enter to choose, and Esc to close. Choosing a command never sends it. On a touch screen, use the send button to send a message.

For the controls these keys open, see Sessions and states, Board, and Terminals.
