Run your assistant where Clawdline can find it, and open terminals from the console.

After this page, your Sessions appear in the console from the terminal app you already use, and you can open a shell on the machine from the console itself.

Where Sessions are found

Clawdline lists a Session only when it can read it and type into it. tmux allows both on macOS and Linux; iTerm2 allows both on macOS.

To use Terminal, Warp, Ghostty, or an SSH window, run tmux inside it. clawdline tmux is the tmux Clawdline uses: your own when you have one, and the one the release carries when you do not, so there is nothing to install:

Expected result: within a few seconds the Session is a row in Session 清單. A plain shell with no AI tool running in it is not a row; to work in a shell from the console or your phone, open one with Open a terminal (below). clawdline tmux which says which tmux is used.

With iTerm2, macOS asks once whether the program running the daemon may control iTerm2. Allow it. If you refused, turn it on in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation.

What you should see
When the assistant runs inside a named tmux session, its row appears in the console within seconds, whatever terminal surrounds tmux. 在跑 means working.

Terminals in the console

The console can open its own shells on the machine, beside the Session list. They run in a tmux server that Clawdline owns, on macOS and Linux only.

  1. In Session 清單, switch to the 終端 (Terminals) tab. It lists the running terminals.
  2. Choose 開一個終端 (Open a terminal), or pick a row. It opens beside the list; on a phone, it fills the screen.
  3. Type. If another tab or device controls it, press 接手 (Take control) first.
  4. To leave, choose 關閉畫面 (Close view): the shell keeps running. 終止主機終端 (End host terminal) ends the process on the machine.
  • A claude or codex you start inside one of these terminals does not become a Session.
  • A read-only device cannot use terminals. A machine runs at most 8 at once.

Terminals from Clawdline Cloud

At app.clawdline.com the same tab opens terminals on a paired machine. The browser must be paired and allowed to send; the 裝置 (Devices) page shows 這個瀏覽器的 Cloud 終端權限 (this browser's Cloud terminal permission).

A terminal first connects through the encrypted Cloud relay. When the browser can reach the machine, it switches to a direct connection and shows 直連 (Direct). If the direct connection drops, it returns to the relay by itself. Both paths are end-to-end encrypted. See Pair a browser.
